The only all-electric automatic soil sampler on the market
The SMO Autoprobe is an automatic soil sampler used to quickly and accurately collect soil samples/cores for nutrient analysis, and agronomic decision-making.
Quieter, Easier, More Dependable
Unlike traditional hand sampling or relying on loud gas engines or complex hydraulic systems, the SMO Autoprobe is powered by a simple 12-volt electrical connection. This makes it quieter, easier to maintain, and more dependable in the field.
Built for real-world use, the SMO Autoprobe allows operators to collect hundreds of consistent soil cores per hour while staying focused on accuracy and efficiency.
Buy An SMO AutoprobeHow it works
The SMO Autoprobe mounts easily to a vehicle using a standard 2” receiver hitch and connects directly to a 12-volt power source.
With the push of a button, the system automatically drives the probe into the soil, collecting an adjustable soil core from 2” to 12” in depth. During the up cycle, the probe retracts while the core extractor scrapes the soil from the probe and deposits it into the soil tray—ready for the next sample.
SMO Autoprobe FeaturesKey Benefits
Speed
At a mounted height of one foot, the probe will collect a 7” inch soil core in 6 seconds.
Precision
Consistent sampling depth adjustment and repeatable operation help ensure reliable, accurate soil data.
Quiet
All-electric operation means no loud gas engines or hydraulic pumps—making long days in the field more comfortable and less fatiguing.
Easy Mounting
The 2” receiver hitch and 12 volt disconnect design allows quick mounting to a wide range of vehicles and easy transfer between units.
Efficiency
Simple operation and quick cycle times allow more acres to be sampled in less time. Eliminating sore backs, feet, and shoulders from hand sampling, and relying on consistent performance—because the SMO Autoprobe samples at the same speed on Monday as it does on Friday.
Simple
No gas engines. No hydraulics. No complicated controls. The all-electric SMO Autoprobe connects to a 12-volt power source and is designed with fewer parts, low maintenance requirements, and straightforward operation—so you spend less time troubleshooting and more time sampling.
